1. Introduction
Welcome to Club Belote Zurich, a platform designed for French-speaking belote enthusiasts seeking social card game sessions in Zurich.
Club Belote Zurich is a technology platform only. We do not organize, host, manage, supervise, or attend game sessions. All sessions are created and run independently by approved users ("Session Organizers").
If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the Platform.
2. Definitions
- "We", "Us", "Platform": Nicolas Houriet and Club Belote Zurich
- "You", "User": Any individual using the Platform
- "Session Organizer": A user approved to list game sessions
- "Content": Profiles, text, photos, and session listings
- "Services": All platform features
3. Nature of Service – Platform Only
Club Belote Zurich connects users only.
You are solely responsible for:
- Session logistics
- Venue arrangements
- Safety
- Legal compliance
- Participant conduct
Rules:
- Sessions must be free of charge and non-commercial
- No payments via the Platform
- No gambling or betting
- Maximum 12 participants per session (3 tables of 4 players)
- Sessions should be conducted in French
- Target age range: 25-45 years
Violations may result in immediate removal and account termination.
4. User Safety and Responsibilities
Offline game sessions carry inherent risks.
Organizer approval is not a background check and offers no guarantee.

- Leave if uncomfortable
You are solely responsible for your own safety.
5. Data Collection, Use, and Retention

Data is retained indefinitely for legitimate platform purposes unless deletion is requested.
Deletion requests are processed within 30 days, unless legal retention is required.

6. Session Organizers
Approval is discretionary and may be revoked at any time without notice or compensation.
Session Organizers must:
- Respect the 12-participant limit
- Organize only free, non-commercial sessions
- Prohibit gambling or betting
- Comply with all applicable laws
- Ensure venue permits are obtained if necessary
7. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Post illegal, harmful, or misleading content
- Misrepresent identity or age
- Scrape data or misuse the Platform
- Organize paid sessions or charge entry fees
- Organize gambling or betting activities
- Exceed participant limits
- Discriminate against participants
- Use the Platform for commercial purposes
Violations may result in termination and reporting to authorities.
8. Content Ownership and License
You retain ownership of your Content.
You grant Club Belote Zurich a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use your Content for operating and promoting the Platform.
We may remove Content at our discretion.
9. Intellectual Property
All software, branding, and design belong to Nicolas Houriet.
Unauthorized copying, modification, or reverse-engineering is prohibited.
10. Disclaimers and Warranties
Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE."
We make no warranties regarding:
- User reliability
- Session safety or legality
- Platform availability
- Outcomes from use
- Quality of gameplay
You assume all risks.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- No liability for indirect or consequential damages
- No liability for user conduct or offline sessions
- Total direct liability is limited to CHF 50
Nothing limits liability where prohibited by mandatory Swiss or EU consumer law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Nicolas Houriet against all claims arising from:
- Your use of the Platform
- Your Content or conduct
- Sessions you organize or attend
- Violations of these Terms or the law
13. Termination
- You may delete your account at any time
- We may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion
Surviving obligations remain effective after termination.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, excluding conflict-of-law rules, and in accordance with applicable European Union consumer protection laws where applicable.
If you are a consumer residing in the EU or EEA, you may bring legal proceedings in the courts of your country of residence or in Switzerland, as permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory rights under Swiss, EU, or national consumer protection legislation.
15. General Provisions
Force majeure, severability, waiver, assignment, survival, and entire-agreement clauses apply.

Club Belote Zurich is a technology platform only. Session Organizers act in their own name and responsibility.
- Club Belote Zurich does not guarantee session safety, legality, or quality
- Claims are waived except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct
- Organizer data may be disclosed to authorities where legally required
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Club Belote Zurich's total liability per session is limited to CHF 50, except where liability cannot be excluded under mandatory Swiss or EU consumer law.
